In this week’s lecture, Mr. Fauzi provided us with several tutorial videos on creating AE effects. I carefully studied and watched all the videos.

PROJECT 4: SELF-TITLED [30%]

Timeframe: WEEK 10 - WEEK 14
Duration: 15 second
Output: .MOV or .MP4 less than 20MB
Size: 1080 x 1920 px (I.G reel/ story size)


Idea Development: 5 marks (WEEK 10)

FINAL PROJECT （Animation）

This week, I started working on an animation. Mr. Fauzi gave me some suggestions, encouraging me to create a planetary orbit effect and a gradient transition effect.

Here’s my progress:
Following Mr. Fauzi’s reference, I successfully created a blended gradient effect. However, the planetary orbit effect didn’t turn out as well as I hoped.

• Blended Gradient Effect:

Using the 4-color gradient to make it.

• Planetary Orbit Effect:

The complexity of creating the planet led me to incorporate several gradient effects. Unfortunately, these couldn’t be applied to the spherical object in After Effects (AE), so I decided to abandon this idea and focused on making the visuals more dynamic.

• Cloud Effect:

 Add transform like position and Opacity to many cloud layers.

Below is the initial draft of my video:

Next, Mr. Fauzi suggested improving the transitions at the beginning and end of the video to make them smoother. Below is the revised version after implementing his feedback.
