Week 1

Module introduction & briefing of all tasks

Week 2

Public Holiday

1. Read the documents published on My times

2. Complete the quizzes of Week 1 & Week 2

3. Explore the topic about UIUX, preliminary topic: Does micro-interaction design in websites have a better user experience, and how does it affect it?

Week 3

Review the Quiz on My Times and the important content about Proposal in the past three weeks, and give feedback on everyone's topic

Dr. Wong said my topic is OK and told me that the key words of my topic are Loading Page, UX and quality Experience.

1. Read the documents published on My times

2. Complete the quizzes of Week 1

3. Change my topic to: The impact of loading page design on user quality experience and satisfaction on the website

Week 4

Feedback of each student for Task 1 Proposal

1. Dr. Wong said that the LUMOS brand website mentioned in my introduction needs clarification. Most of the time, when we think of brand websites, we first think of brands like Louis Vuitton and Chanel. Therefore, I need to explain this so that readers understand what the LUMOS brand is.

2. There are some issues with the narrative. All articles must be written in the third person, and sentences with "I" as the subject are prohibited.

1. Started writing the proposal. Completed the first draft.

2. Added "What is a brand website" to the introduction.

3. Find new examples of brand websites.

3. Revised the statement and added an in-text citation.

4. Changed the topic to "Impact of Duolingo's Emotional Micro-interactions on Reducing User Frustration During Waiting Time."

Week 5

Feedback of each student for Task 1 Proposal

1. Dr. Wong said my topic is pretty good. However, the logic of the introduction isn't clear and needs to be reorganized.

2. Currently, I only have two sets of research objectives and research questions. I need to find and add another set.

1. Organize the overall logic of Task 1

2. Add a new set of corresponding research objectives and questions

3. Start writing the critical review

Week 6

Feedback of each student for Task 2 Critical Review

1. Dr. Wong said that the overall logic of the two critical reviews I wrote was good, but I should be careful not to repeat the remaining critical review that has not been written.

1. Complete the remaining critical review

Week 7

Feedback of each student for Task 2 Critical Review

1. Dr. Wong said the overall look is good, but some details can still be modified.

1. Modify the details of Task 2: Critical Review

2. Submit Task 1 & Task 2

Week 9

Feedback of each student for Task 3 Research Methodology

Dr. Wong said my work was excellent and unique, and that I was the first student to use a different methodology. After discussing the methodology with Dr. Wong at length, we finally decided to change the methodology from the original experimental design to A/B testing.

1. Modify the methodology section based on the information provided by Dr. Wong.

2. Rewrite the justification section based on the rewritten methodology section.

3. Create a prototype.

Week 10

Feedback of each student for Task 3 Research Methodology

Dr. Wong said the order of methodology, justification, and research design in the work is incorrect and needs to be revised.

1. Keep the current order of understanding the survey after experiencing a prototype.

2. Change the research methodology section (including the references) to use the third-person perspective.

3. Change the justification section to include the reference stating that "a within-subject experiment with 20 people in a group is acceptable."

1. Organize the overall logical sequence

2. Modify the research design content

3. Find people to help test the prototype

2. Start collecting data

Week 11

Feedback of each student for Task 3 Research Methodology

I discussed the methodology again with Dr. Wong and finally decided on experimental design as the methodology and survey, interview, and observation as the data collection methods.

1. Revisit the methodology and justification sections.

2. Refine the research design.

3. Once data collection is complete, begin data analysis.

Week 12

Feedback of each student for Task 3 Research Methodology

1. Graphs and tables need to be recreated, and each graph must be clearly presented.

2. Data analysis must be conducted strictly according to the analytical methods for quantitative and qualitative data

1. Recreate all charts

2. Reanalyze all data

Week 13

Feedback of Final Report

1. Collected data should be placed after reference.

2. Write a brief caption before each chart to explain how the subsequent analysis is based on that chart.

3. Change the order to survey, observation, interview.

4. Make the legend more detailed and clear.

5. Label both the X and Y axes of the chart.

6. Percentages on the Y axis should be 100%.

7. Change the color of the bar chart to a more contrasting one.

8. All charts must have a title; questions cannot be used as titles.

9. Create a demographic chart.

10. Divide the survey into several sections and create a 5-point likert scale chart.

11. Change all references in the interview report to "P01."

12. Modify the observation report section.

1. Rework your work step by step based on the feedback.

2. Recreate the charts.

Week 14

Feedback of Final Report

1. The figure legend needs revision.

2. The title should be made clearer.

3. The table of contents has been revised; some areas have redundant content.

4. Do not include thematic tables in the report; these are considered raw data and should be placed entirely in the appendix.

1. Create a PowerPoint presentation based on the revised document.

2. Create a final presentation video.

3. Write a blog post.

4. Submit Task 4.
