Design #1:
1.Graphic Design
Description: When I first saw this illustration , I was enthralled deeply by the broken mood it gave me , which also expressed those following messages.
This graphic design expressed:
First of all ,this graphic is in the form of a picture in picture. In the picture below, the decaying flowers and part of the arm are both in the blue water. In the picture above, there is a part of the woman's face with some messy hair . The most interesting thing in this graphic is her eyes. Her original pupils are replaced by the waves, shed regular wave-tears which are made by using the cut-mask version.
What’s more, the part of the face above works in concert with the part of the arm below, it seems like the woman in the graphic is lying in the blue water. It expresses awfully intensely negative emotions, but with the messy hair which seems like blown up by the wind, the graphic becomes alive.
Description: When I first saw this poster, I was enthralled deeply by the rich atmosphere of love and shock by the beauty of medieval oil painting, which also expressed those following messages.
This poster expressed:
First of all, all of the elements displayed in the poster service for the theme “Love” and “Louvre”. All elements are the symbols of love , so the poster looks very unified. I think it’s the most important thing in design.
For the picture elements, the author chose Cupid as the character which is the best symbol of love. The four Cupids in the poster doing their own things, holding garlands, sorting out flowers…… And the pigeons released by cupid express freedom and love . Maybe the picture elements represent all the aspects of love. What’s more, the medieval oil painting style is significantly suited for the “Louvre”.
For the straight matter, the author chose Pink as the text theme color . Also, the most interesting thing is it highlights the letters L, O, V, E, in the title “LOUVRE” to protrude the “Love” theme. I think it is excellent that the Louvre’s love-themed paintings are all reflected in the poster title.
Description:When I first saw this graphic , I was enthralled deeply by its painting style ,which also expresses these following messages.
This graphic design expressed:
First of all, this graphic design is especially the style of Ukiyo E. Significantly, it is a combination of Eastern visual elements and representations of Western forms.
In the graphic ,we can see a lot of elements of Ukiyo E style. For instance, the spoondrift elements which is famous for the work of The Great Wave off Kanagawa made by Katsushika Hokusai is the most typical feature. The red part gushing out of the bottle in the middle of the graphic wrapping around the Vodka bottle, it seems like liquor or the aroma of the liquor gushed out doing Ukiyo E processing at the edge. In this classical Oriental color scheme, Vodka bottle is held up by the smog within the butterflies, whales, birds, corals, mist dotted, it looks even more majestic and magical.
